Unboxing….Sparkle Hustle Grow!

I have a new Fab Find!! As you know, I plan to do more product reviews on my blog. Right now, I am researching subscription boxes. My last review was for an artisan box, and this time around, I wanted something that would be fun, and help me with my blossoming...

Spa In a Box

Spa In a Box

When I started researching boxes, I wanted to make sure that I tried a relaxation box.  With all the craziness we have going on in our lives, who couldn't use a spa day?  In fact, i live less than 10 minutes away from a full scale day spa.  But with my hectic schedule...

New Year, New Planner

New Year, New Planner

In an effort to “Get my life together in 2017”, I decided to join the planner movement.  Michelle and I talked about this on Episode 3 of our Podcast, where we discussed our lackluster efforts with time management.  Time management is so important, and should be a...

Helping Others…and learning lessons

Helping Others…and learning lessons

Each year, my dear friends Teri, Dana, and Deb bake delicious bread loaves and sell them to friends and family.  The proceeds go towards buying supplies to make care packages for the homeless.  Teri has since moved out of state, but luckily Dana and Deb decided to...

Mom Meltdown

Mom Meltdown

It’s 4:20am and I just walked my Husband to his car.  As he starts the car to leave to catch his vanpool, I start crying.  “I can’t lose my baby!”  No, I’m not pregnant…I’m referring to my 17-year-old Daughter.  She is a Junior in High School, and this is the dreaded...

Live Happy!

Hi Friends! Last week, I decided to stroll into my local Barnes & Noble to see what new books were flying off the shelves.  I prefer to buy my books from Amazon.com.  Actually, I prefer to buy everything at Amazon.com, who am I kidding? I’d love to LIVE at Amazon!...

Pulled the Trigger!

Pulled the Trigger!

On this rainy Sunday, I decided to be proactive and knock a few things off my “To Do” list.  What I was able to accomplish took all day!  I am new to blogging, and I am amazed at the amount of social media that is involved!  Not only am I starting this blog, I created...

Welcome!!

Welcome!!

Hi!  I'm Crystal and Welcome to my Blog! Having a blog has been a dream of mine for years.  I actually started one about 12 years ago… it was sad.  Not the subject matter, but the post.  A few sentences and that was it. I never touched it again!  I’m sure if I go into...

Welcome to The Middle Years Journey!
Over time, I noticed that there weren’t a lot of outlets for women in their 40’s. Traditionally speaking, Midlife starts at 50.  Women in their 40’s have unique ideas, concerns, dreams, and issues as well!
When thinking of a name for my blog, I wanted something that would embody my current transformation into midlife.  The Middle Years Journey is a lifestyle blog where I discuss issues pertaining to midlife, raising teens, friendships, and self-awareness, and anything else that comes to mind.  My hope is that along with my Facebook Group, I can create a community where women can interact and support one another along their journeys!
Seeing other women achieving their dreams, has encouraged me to fulfill mine!
Let’s take this #Midlife Journey together!!
