Within a few days or so The Middle Years Journey Blog will be under construction. When I decided to start my blog and podcast, my intent was to have a space to write about things I pondered, share my interests, and connect with other people outside of my social circle.
Since embarking on this journey, I have done just that. My comfort level with blogging and podcasting is growing, I’m meeting great people on social media, and I attended my first blog conference! #Blogher17 gave me the kick in the pants that I needed. I am not a Blogger/Podcaster with a “large” following or one that makes $1000 a month. I am a Blogger/Podcaster that loves what she does, wants to help others, and wants to flourish. Sometimes in our lives, we desire “instant gratification, ” and when we don’t achieve that, we give up. I am guilty of that. I am learning that baby steps are OK and I will be where I want to be in due time. The most important thing I can do is believe in myself and keep pressing on!
I have so many ideas for The Middle Years Journey. I am at the place now where it’s time to move forward, let go of my fears, and embrace transformation!
Exciting changes are forthcoming for The Middle Years Journey:
-
My Blog and Podcast will become one brand
-
A new website – Easier to navigate and showcase my posts and pages
-
My Podcast will include interviews and stories of “every day” Midlife Women
-
The creation of a Facebook Group that will encourage interaction and represent a Midlife Community
-

Hi, Carla! Wow, 16 years? I could learn from you! I am sure you have seen this industry change so much since you started. You are right, we need challenges in our lives. I’m just glad that I’m FINALLY learning that lesson and I’m keeping an open mind and open heart to accept my transformation.
