Amazon Prime Day 2019!!!

It’s that time of the year to lose all control and wait anxiously for the Postman to deliver the smiley face boxes. That’s right folks. It’s almost time for Amazon Prime 2019 Whoot Whoot!!!

For those that don’t know, Amazon hosts an annual sale exclusively for Prime Members. When Prime Day first started, the sales lasted 24 hours. Each year Amazon adds more time to the sale. In 2019, we are looking at a whopping 48 hours of deals!

To take full advantage of Prime Day, you should download the Amazon app (like we don’t all have it on ALL devices) and start searching for items of interest. Amazon makes it easy to add a reminder or “watch” an item so you will be notified when it goes on sale. Think of it as an auction without the blind bidding.

One week before the main event, you can start adding items to your watch list. I highly recommend doing this, so you don’t waste time looking all over the app for what you want. Throughout the day, Amazon will show sneak peek deals with limited quantities; these are usually the hot selling items. Last year they offered the Kindle Paperwhite for less than $85.00!!

If you aren’t already an Amazon Prime Member, you can sign up for their Give the Gift of Amazon Prime” rel=”noopener noreferrer”>30-day trial membership and will still be able to access the sale. I’ve been a prime member for over eight years now, and I love it. You have access to not only free shipping but other Amazon goodies like Prime Video, and Prime Music. Currently, the cost for a yearly membership is $119.00 (I remember when it was less than $50.00). If you order as much as I do, the membership will pay for itself. You can sign up here for a free 30-day trial. Are you a student or do you have a student that likes to piggyback off the membership that YOU pay for? Amazon also has a student membership that only costs $60.00. That’s a reasonable price for a college student, and they can easily have their items shipped on their dime. Click here to read about the six month trial for Student Membership.

I must warn you, have coffee on hand because last year within minutes the entire site crashed! Amazon took care of the overload, but it was discouraging. To combat this issue here are a few tips to maximize your time:

  • Start early!!! Write a list of items that you want and add them to your cart or wishlist
  • Sign up for price alerts, so you’ll know when your coveted items are up for grabs
  • Set a budget and try to stick to it… I know I know….

Since I already have my coveted Kindle Paperwhite, there are only a few items I’ve got my eyes on.  Click on the images or titles to learn more:

RocketBook Duo

Rocketbook Everlast Fusion Notebook – This handy notebook is reusable. Yea, reusable. You write your notes (or in my case brain dumps) and when finished, wipe with the included microfiber cloth. There are 42 reusable pages with different paper styles. Perfect for notes on the go.

Ballarini Blender
Ballarini Cherry Red Blender – Truth? I love the color. This blender is functional and perfect for smoothies and soups. I have a Ninja blender now that doesn’t do the trick. The Ballarini comes with a 320z carafe and a 16oz personal blender cup (drinking lid included). I also like the included tamper to help break up food. This is perfect for blending frozen fruits.

AMAZON ECHO

Amazon Echo – I’m late to the game on this. I have a google home in my office that I enjoy using. I want the Echo for downstairs and out on the patio. I like that it is connected to Amazon Music so I can easily create playlists and listen to stations other than Pandora. If Big Brother is listening, I hope he loves Yacht Rock Radio. (don’t judge me). The Echo also plays songs on Spotify, Apple Music AND you can also listen to your Audible audiobooks while you’re puttering around the house.

ANKER POWERSTRIP
Anker PowerPort Powerstrip – This item doesn’t scream “Buy Me,” but it is convenient. This power strip not only has 12 outlets but also has USB ports. This is perfect for all of the electronics in my office alone. I can charge my MacBook, iPhone, Ipad, and keyboard all in the same location.

I hope you take advantage of all the good deals that lie ahead. If you partake in the celebration, let me know what you bought!!!
