In the U.S., we have three major holidays that celebrate our nations Military personnel. Memorial Day, celebrated in May honors those that lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces. Armed Forces Day also observed in May honors those that are currently serving in the U.S Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marines, and U.S. Coast Guard. Veterans Day is a national holiday that celebrates those that have served in the armed forces.

My Husband and I are both Air Force Brats. Both of our Fathers served 20 plus years in the Air Force. My Husband was also prior service Air Force and is currently serving our great country as a Civil Engineering Officer in the Air Force Reserves.

I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood experience than growing up as a military brat. Although I got ripped off on the travel aspect (we were stationed in North Dakota and Northern and Southern California) the Military provided me with some of my best childhood memories.

As Veterans Day approaches, I wanted to share some of the great deals that we can partake in on Sunday, November 11th and the actually observed holiday, November 12th, 2018. Recently November 2018 has been designated Military Family Month! That means some of these discounts will remain in effect until November 30th! Veterans and Active Duty Military can select a free meal from a limited menu on Veteran’s Day. Provide proof of service required.

BJ’s Restaurants

Buffalo Wild Wings
All day long on Sunday, November 11, veterans and active duty military who dine-in at their local B-Dubs can receive a free one order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries. At participating U.S. locations only.

Chili’s Bar & Grill
All veterans and active duty military personnel can choose a complimentary meal from a select menu on Veterans Day 2018.

Dunkin Donuts
On November 11, Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free donut at Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary.

Little Caesars Pizza
On Saturday, November 11, from 11 am to 2 pm, veterans and active military members can receive a free $5 HOT-N-READY® Lunch Combo.

Red Robin
All Veterans and Active Duty Military get a free dine-in Red’s Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day 11/11.

Rock & Brews
Rock & Brews is offering all active duty military, veterans, and first responders a complimentary meal on Veteran’s Day at any Rock & Brews location nationwide

Lowes: Lowes stores offer 10% Military discounts on all purchases every day

Home Depot: offer 10% Military discounts on all purchases every day

Old Navy: Used to offer Military Discounts on Tuesdays, they now provide the discount for all purchases every day

Apple: The Apple Military Discount is a program provided by Apple for active duty, veterans and family members of the U.S. Military, National Guard and Reserve. The Federal Government and Military Employee Purchase Program are also available to current and retired employees, contractors and family members of government entities.

Bass Pro Shops: Bass Pro Shops offers active military, veterans, retirees, National Guardsmen and Reservists a 5% discount every day, present proper ID at checkout.
