Temecula Half Marathon & 5K

This October I will put on my walking shoes and lace up for the annual Temecula Half Marathon and 5k! As you may have read, I participated in the Run Like a Diva race in February, and March I did the Margarita 5k run. Yes, the Margarita run ended with what? Delicious cold margaritas. My Husband sees a pattern with my races; they all end with booze. Don’t judge! Whatever gets me to the finish line, right?

I wanted to run in the Temecula Half/5k last year but had another commitment. This year I decided I’m going to do it and add another medal to my collection. This year the race will be held in beautiful Temecula Wine County at the Galway Downs Winery and is hosted by Sandy Feet Events. On a whim, I decided to apply for Ambassadorship and was approved!! I’m so excited to have been given the opportunity to spread the word and encourage others to come together and have a good time. Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do on our Midlife Journeys??  Temecula Wine Country is a paradise.  You don’t HAVE to run, you can walk, talk, and take in the scenery.  A few of my gal pals completed their FIRST 5K’s this year.  We had a great time and got some exercise in at the same time.  You can walk with us in the morning, and be home in the afternoon! (if you’re like me you will be asleep by 3 pm) LOL

Did I mention there was a wine tasting garden?? Water is good to hydrate with, but I’ll take a Rose over that any day!!! There will also be tons of gear to order at the time of ticket purchase!
