This Weight Watchers friendly protein shake is creamy and delicious!

Vanilla Chocolate Caramel Protein Shake
This protein shake is worth a try!

Ingredients

  • 1 Carton Vanilla Premier Protein Shake = 2 sp
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar-Free Caramel flavored Syrup = 0 sp
  • Ghiradelli Premium Chocolate Chips 10 = 2 sp
  • 1/2 cup of ice
  • Add all ingredients to your single serve or full-size blender
  • Blend until desired consistency

Since joining the Weight Watchers Freestyle program, I started drinking Premier Protein Shakes. I usually don’t like protein drinks of any kind because most of them are chalky or have an artificial aftertaste. No matter how mouthwatering delicious they make the packaging look, I not going to be fooled into to thinking I’ll drink them and end up refreshed and satisfied.  Half the time I would have to plug my nose to ward off the vitamin smell!
Surprisingly, the Premier Protein shakes are creamy and filling. There is a hint of sweetener, but it’s not overpowering.

Sometimes after dinner, I crave a sweet snack. We all know that is the make it or break it time of day.  Just because I have 5 smart points left at the end of the day doesn’t mean I need to eat a handful of cookies. I set out to find something that would tame my sweet tooth and keep me at a low point value.

I knew the chocolate chips would be my special flavorful ingredient, so I decided to try a sugar-free syrup to spice it up. I generally do not consume anything that’s sugar-free (again with the aftertaste), but I figured 2 tablespoons wouldn’t break the recipe.

To my surprise, my spur of the moment concoction came out perfectly! I could have added more chocolate chips (16 is one serving size which equals 4 sp), but I wanted to keep it under 4 points.

I want to experiment with different sugar-free syrups and see what I can muster up. Hmmm.. Peppermint comes to mind for Christmas!

Do you have any go-to recipes for your protein shakes?
