 Weight Watchers Week 4

I can’t believe I just completed my 4th week on Weight Watchers! It went by fast, and I’m proud of the progress I am making! Last week, I scrolled through Twitter looking at the hashtag #weightwatchers. I find so much information; other people to follow that are on the freestyle plan, recipes, and tips. I should have known I couldn’t make it thru 10 tweets before I stumbled on a troll. The irony of it was the profile of “health coach.” In a nutshell, they eluded to the fact that paying for WW is a waste of money, and anyone can lose weight if they wanted to. Trust me; I’ll never hire that person to coach me!

The truth of the matter

What they said may be true, but the same can be said for Gym memberships, Personal Trainers, Health Coaches, Life Coaches, and anyone else that offers a service to help you lose weight and maintain health. Yes, WW has a monthly cost, but the way I see it, I’m spending $32.00 a month for something that will help me better myself. Before I signed up, I promised myself that I would give it six months. That’s $160.00 (because I got a FREE month) that I would easily spend at Marshall’s. Trust me on this.

What I Like About the Plan

The aspect of WW that I like the most is the meetings. I look forward to going on Saturday mornings, hearing other stories and getting tips from our leader (name). I don’t weigh myself during the week, so all the excitement builds up. No matter what, good or bad, I’m going to get on that scale and own it. This last month on the plan has made me more accountable for the things I put in my mouth. I am more aware of what I’ve been eating and what I should be eating. Slowly, my daily habits are changing. I am meal prepping, watching my portion sizes, and tracking EVERYTHING. I haven’t ordered out for lunch at work in 4 weeks (actually just once, and that was a salad).
What I have accomplished and learned about myself in this last four weeks more than makes up for the $32.00 a month.

 Week 4 Results

This week I lost 1.2 pounds! Not bad considering I fell going up the stairs the day after I joined. I hurt my knee and hip pretty bad, so I haven’t been exercising! Hopefully. I’ll be able to get into the gym that I’m also paying for every month!
